Overview

The Clayton Utz superannuation and pensions group is committed to giving clients, including employer-sponsors and superannuation fund trustees, practical and commercial advice which helps them avoid unnecessary risk. Our team is part of a multidisciplinary Financial Services Group which has extensive experience in superannuation, funds management, legal compliance and group life insurance.

Experience

Our extensive experience in day-to-day superannuation matters such as successor fund transfers/fund amalgamations, fund disclosure, group life insurance, trustee duties and outsourcing arrangements is complemented by our specialist legal expertise in investment transactions and due diligence; corporate governance including trustee policies and procedures; regulatory compliance and systems; and fund remediation and compensation projects including liaising with the appropriate regulators.

We are at the forefront of new developments in financial services through our active participation in industry groups such as the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) and the Investment and Financial Services Association (IFSA) , and forums and working groups reviewing the regulatory environment and other legal issues affecting the industry.
